About the Finance team:

The Finance team consists of 10+ full-time employees (and one part-time dog) across the Accounting team and the Cash Management team. The majority of the team is based in Stockholm with team members also in Malta and Spain.

About the Accounting Assistant role:

As an Accounting Assistant at Trustly, you’ll be based in our Malta office and will report the office’s finances to the Finance department in Stockholm. To thrive in this role, you must be a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual with engaging social skills and a passion for numbers.

What you’ll do:

  • Monitor supplier invoices and track employees’ expenses, executing payments on a daily basis
  • Compile invoices and expense claims for pre-audits
  • Assist the Accounting Manager in the monthly reconciliation of accounts
  • Train employees on how to submit expenses, report holiday/sick days, etc.
  • Support the Payroll Manager in handling new employee data and answering salary-related questions
  • Evaluate and propose improvements to our current process on a continuous basis

Who you are:

  • You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Business Administration or similar
  • You have basic Microsoft Excel knowledge
  • You have strong verbal and written communication skills in English; knowledge of other European languages is a plus!
  • You have basic bookkeeping, mathematical, analytical and administrative skills
  • You are highly organized with the ability to multi-task and you never miss a deadline
