About the role

In order to further accelerate the profitable growth of the business, Trustly is now seeking a Head of Banking Relationships to maintain and further expand Trustly’s relationships with banks and other PSPs from which Trustly purchases services.

The ideal candidate is a strong relationship builder who will be responsible for maintaining and further expanding Trustly’s bank relationships. The Head of Banking Relationships will be Trustly’s primary interface vis-a-vis banks where Trustly holds accounts and purchases transaction banking services, as well as other PSPs from which Trustly purchases payment services. The person will also be responsible for Trustly’s relationships with banks for whose customers Trustly provides its payment products. In addition to interaction within the Finance team, the role will require successfully working together with among others the Product, Compliance, AML and Legal teams.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Own Trustly’s relationships with banks, other PSPs and clearing and settlement mechanisms in Trustly’s role as customer to these organizations
  • Own Trustly’s relationships with banks for whose customers Trustly provides payment products
  • Maintain and expand existing relationships and initiate new ones
  • Act as first point of contact at Trustly for requests and questions from banks and other PSPs
  • Furnish information about Trustly to facilitate KYC processes
  • Review and negotiate terms when Trustly purchases transaction banking services
  • Drive and deepen commercial cooperation with existing and new PSPs


  • Bachelor or Master’s degree qualified in either Law, Business Administration or related discipline
  • 5-10 years of experience from an international bank or regulated PSP
  • Strong understanding of AML / CFT legislation and processes
  • Strong understanding of transaction banking products
  • A structured and organized mind
  • Excellent interpersonal, commercial, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Ability to travel in Europe


  • Experience/understanding of alternative payment methods
  • Experience with clearing and settlement systems
  • Knowledge of other European languages
