Online Banking ePayments (OBeP), Product, Stockholm

Trustly is a tech company at heart. Two of our three founders are developers and eight years later, they are still an integral part of the Tech team. The entire backend system at Trustly is written using stored procedures in PostgreSQL, mainly PL/pgSQL but also pure SQL and PL/Perl.

About the Online Banking e-Payments team:

The Online Banking e-Payments team ensures our products for in- and outgoing payments function as they should and stays in front of the evolution curve in payments. The team is part of Trustly’s Product function and consist of Product Specialists, responsible for the products; the International Expansion team, responsible for the rails and preparatory work of our geographic expansion; as well as the coming Product Development and Intelligence team, which is made up of experts on both our own products and surrounding payments landscape.

The Product function defines the roadmap, sets priorities and specifies features of Trustly's products, forming a central part of the company. Apart from working closely with Tech department to develop and enable new products or features within existing products, we also collaborate with the commercial teams to secure optimal push of our products. Currently, we're a handful of people, but just like the rest of Trustly, we're growing at a fast pace and we're keen to bring more people on board. We're based in Trustly's beautiful Stockholm office but do travel regularly to our other offices.

About the role:

Trustly’s core products—pay-ins and pay-outs from/to the online bank —constantly evolve to stay ahead. To increase output, we are hiring a manager who can set up a Product Development team and secure product development, deliver product intelligence data to boost decision making, and develop strategies for the OBeP team. In short, this is a crucial role right at the center of the action.

What you’ll do:

  • Set up and lead a business development analysis team focusing on our product insights to draw conclusions and recommend improvements to the OBeP team
  • Create, deliver and maintain KPI measurements and product reports
  • Create, deliver and maintain custom data analyses
  • Set up and manage a product intelligence team focusing on competing services and competition landscape intelligence ensuring the team is constantly up to date and well-informed
  • Work closely with the entire OBeP team to develop and deliver excellent product and competitor insights and development possibilities today as well as over time

Who you are:

  • You have a Master’s degree in Business Administration, Civil Engineering or similar from reputable university
  • You have at least 3 years of product development and analysis experience in the payments industry or other online services
  • You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • You are data-driven, highly productive and effective under tight deadlines
  • You have excellent written and oral communications skills in English; Swedish is a plus but not mandatory
  • You have an entrepreneurial mindset with a good sense of structure; the ability to manage your own priorities is a must
  • You have a desire to put together and develop a team sharing your passion for detail and delivery in product development and intelligence
  • Preferably you can code and know SQL, or are willing to learn; any kind of coding is a plus
