Swedish online payments company Trustly Group AB announced today that it has integrated its online banking e-payments solution into Computop’s Paygate 6.0, a leading global, multi-channel payments platform. CEWE is the first Paygate 6.0 merchant out to offer Trustly’s solution to their consumers at www.postfoto.se.
Trustly will, initially, be available to consumers in the Nordics and Spain. The first merchant to leverage Trustly on Computop’s Paygate 6.0 platform is CEWE, Europe’s leading photo and online print service. In 2012, CEWE printed approximately 2.5 billion photos and more than 5.6 million CEWE Photo books, working with more than 33,000 retailers across Europe.
Ralf Gladis, CEO of Computop elaborates:
“As countries across the globe come out of the global recession at varying speeds, it is becoming more important than ever for merchants to be able to tailor their payment capabilities to match demand. Adding secure, local payment methods like Trustly helps merchants like CEWE expand their business reach and significantly reduces occurrences of abandoned baskets at the checkout.”
Stefan Backlund, Head of Marketing & Communications at Trustly points to security and convenience driving consumer adoption:,
“On both desktop and mobile devices, Trustly’s secure, fast and simple user experience are driving fast adoption among consumers. We see that the preference to pay using your online bank is high across Europe. And our expanding geographical presence and real-time reconciliation appeal greatly to merchants, as integrations with world leading e-com merchants like CEWE demonstrate.”
